Our campground’s name—“The Woods”—was born from the legendary play spot of our childhood. Back in the day, if the landline rang (remember those?) and it was Russ, Nelly, Charlie, George, or Rhonda on the other end saying, “I’ll meet you in The Woods,” we’d drop everything. We’d jump on our bikes and ride off to that stand of timber that separated most of our homes. There, we had every kind of adventure you could imagine—racing through the trees, swimming in the creeks and rivers, and hiking the surrounding mountains. It was pure freedom, and the best kind of childhood you could ask for. To this day, I’m still in touch with those same friends—something few people are lucky enough to say! Come stay at "The Woods" —where that spirit of fun and friendship still lives on.
